Meet Koko

Koko here. I’m a wife, mama, sound healer, herbalism lover, and seeker of heart to heart connection. I believe wellness is less about becoming someone new and more about remembering who we’ve always been. It begins within and unfolds through the way we nourish our bodies, move with intention, connect with nature, and create space to simply be. Through sound healing, I hold sacred space for people to pause, breathe, soften, and reconnect with themselves. I’m drawn to the places where science meets spirit, where vibration meets stillness, and where simple rituals can become powerful reminders that we are worthy of rest, nourishment, and care. My work is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and truly find yourself again.

I’ve always been a natural hype woman and a heart-forward connector—I genuinely believe in celebrating people, lifting them higher, and reminding them of the magic they sometimes forget they carry. I’m passionate about creating genuine connections and cultivating communities where people feel seen, welcomed, and empowered to show up exactly as they are. My dream is to one day create an apothecary and wellness studio that feels like a little sanctuary—a place where women, lgbtq+ and diverse communities can gather, learn, laugh, heal, and grow together. A space rooted in herbs, sound, nourishment, movement, ritual, and a little bit of everyday magic. Until that dream takes root, I’m here alchemizing mind, body, and spirit—one sound, one ritual, and one connection at a time.

The Power of Sound

Everything in the universe requires energy to move, change, or do work—and sound is one of the most powerful ways energy can be experienced. Sound healing is an ancient restorative practice that uses vibration, rhythm, and frequency to encourage relaxation, inner stillness, and a greater sense of peace. Instruments such as crystal singing bowls create resonant tones and vibrations that can help the body shift out of a heightened stress response. By engaging the parasympathetic nervous system—our natural “rest and digest” state—sound may support slower breathing, a steadier heart rate, and a deeper state of relaxation.

Our brains are electrical organs made up of billions of interconnected cells, creating intricate circuits responsible for regulating everything from movement and emotions to breathing and our stress response. Sound and meditation can provide the brain with rhythmic patterns that encourage a shift toward calmer states. Meditation has been studied for its ability to influence activity in the amygdala, a region involved in fear and emotional processing, helping create greater space for feelings of calm and safety. The soothing vibrations of sound may also help reduce the body's stress response, including cortisol, our primary stress hormone. For those who experience anxiety or moments of panic, sound healing can offer a gentle, non-invasive way to create an environment that supports relaxation and nervous-system regulation.

Crystal singing bowls offer another fascinating connection between sound, vibration, and energy. Quartz crystals demonstrate the piezoelectric effect, a phenomenon in which mechanical stress and electrical charge are interconnected. This property has been utilized in technologies ranging from watches and sensors to electronic devices. When a quartz singing bowl is played, it produces acoustic vibrations that can be felt throughout the body and experienced through hearing. In sound healing, these vibrations are used as a pathway between acoustic and bioelectric energy, inviting the body to slow down, reconnect, and settle. Sound healing isn't about forcing the mind or body to change—it is about creating the conditions for the nervous system to feel safe enough to soften, rest, and restore.
